I was talking to an older woman this week, and we both had the same unanswered question: how much did it cost for a church to have segments of “The Passion of the Christ” playing in their theatres in “celebration” of Easter?

I found the answer: $24.95.

The Mystery Of Lawlessness At Work - Comments (15)

The Bible discusses the mystery of lawlessness (iniquity) .

Christians today need to be informing themselves about the various “mysteries,” especially because ALL the deeper matters of Scripture are predicated upon understanding them.

    They are:

  1. Of the kingdom of the heavens
  2. Israel’s partial and temporary blindness
  3. the church Christ’s body
  4. the hope of Gentile glory
  5. the rapture of the believers
  6. iniquity (lawlessness)
  7. godliness
  8. 7 stars and 7 candlesticks
  9. Babylon
  10. the woman carried by the beast

Is “Terri” Really a First? - Comments (1)

The Terri Schiavo case might be a bit unique in that it is about a bigamist (or polygamist) and alienated husband (with some money) denying a handicapped wife food and water, but it is BY NO MEANS UNIQUE as far as killing the handicapped under the guise of mercy and care.

I have been a first-hand witness of numerous attempts to kill a handicapped child, and except for rather extraordinary determination by parents and some well-meaning others against the “medical establishment at work,” that child would have been outright murdered (with parental participation!) by those who profess to care for the child, even while the same ones line their pockets with hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Weighing In On “Terri” - Comments (1)

Everybody’s talking about it, and writing about it. So I thought I might add something to the discussion of what is going on in Flordia with Terri Schiavo.

Michael Savage is, I think, rightly calling her “Terri Schindler.” Of course, he is rightly called “Michael Weiner” (his real name.).

The immorality of denying a handicapped person food and water is so decadent, I do not really think comment is necessary. Here we find the denial of the basics of life.

Zane Hodges goes too far. - Comments (14)

Printer Friendly Category: Articles,Doctrine,GES: Hodges, Wilkin, et.al.
Author: John Malone
Date: 24th March, 2005 @ 09:06:25 PM

In order to demonstrate that certain essential doctrines concerning the person of the Lord Jesus Christ are not necessary to bring one into saving faith, Zane Hodges proposes a theoretical circumstance that is preposterous on its face, and invalid in its details.

GES Controversy in John’s Gospel - Comments (5)

There shouldn’t be any controversy at all! Why and from where do such issues arise?

The Grace Evangelical Society (GES) has attracted the support of good churches and the men that lead them because it underscores and amplifies the good news of eternal life as “Grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.”

The phrase is a wonderful one – and accurate – but not inspired.

It turns out that there are those in important positions of leadership in the GES that are, in my view, toying with turning beefsteak faith in the Lord Jesus Christ into twinkie faith in a non-Divine, unrisen, non-incarnate “Christ” who guarantees eternal life to all who trust in Him.

Yesterday, the GES had an evening breakout session featuring a robust discussion on the essential content of the gospel. Most of the discussion was “proposition” oriented. By that I mean that it focused on the reception of the offer of the gospel and its attendant promise of eternal life, such as are found in John 3:16, John 6:47 , and John 4:14 in conjunction with John 4:26 .
